Wow, who am I? Well, many different things to many different
people ... mostly good (I hope).
I am an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder where I teach classes, conduct research and serve my community in a variety of endeavors. In May 2004, I completed my Ph.D. in journalism at the University
of Texas at Austin while studying the application of mass communication
ethics to digital media communication. I received my master's
degree in Digital
Media from Abilene Christian
University in 1999 and my bachelor's degree in advertising
from ACU in 1996. While I was at ACU, I was an active member
Sodalis, a men's social club.
I have not yet found a faith home in Boulder, but most recently was a member of Skillman Church of Christ and an active member of the Friends class.
I love movies! No really! My collection has been growing dramatically.
I usually am pretty free about loaning out movies to friends,
so I posted a listing of my movie
I also have really cute nephew. But don't take my word for it, check out Bradley's Web site. And he now has a new baby sister, Aubrey Ann Stevens.
In my "spare" time, I am a professional Web developer. Some of my recent projects include the University of Texas Population Research Center, the University Avenue Church of Christ Web site and the U.S. Latinos and Latinas & World War II oral history project. I also designed the interface and look of the official Web site of the International Communication Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Because of my work, I have kept up with a pretty large collection of important links for Web publishing.
If you're learning, you might take a look.
If you want to catch up with me (or just keep up with me), I
have a variety of online contact points. I can be reached by
email at firstname.lastname@example.org
or email@example.com (and a host of others, but those two are the main accounts). My primary AOL/IM screen name is toydude01. My MSN Messenger address is "firstname.lastname@example.org." I'm not online as much as I used to be, but you might catch me there from time to time. My Ebay handle is
toydude, and I have a pretty decent feedback
rating (though I've been pretty inactive lately). I also
have an Ebay
Well, that's enough about me for a while. If you want to know
