Inscription from John Shelton Lawrence

Last night, I received an amazing surprise.

John Shelton Lawrence had sent me a copy of The Myth of the American Superhero, which he had co-written with Robert Jewett.

When I opened it, there was an inscription:

To Rick Stevens, with admiration for your penetrating scholarship.
